Former Iron star George Kerr felt Jack Cork's five awards at the club's presentation evening on Monday night were thoroughly deserved.

Kerr, who works as a pundit for BBC Radio Humberside, says the 18-year-old on-loan Chelsea midfield man has been a shining light for the club this season.

He told the radio station: "I think it's fully justified. He was one of a few, but his performances were certainly consistent and his energy was fantastic.

"He's a young player, and there's a lot to come from the boy.

"I'm sure his father (former Wimbledon star Alan Cork) will be very proud of him."
