'MASSIVE DECISION' AHEAD FOR BARA
Posted on: Sun 11 May 2008
Veteran midfield man Ian Baraclough admits he would be virtually giving up playing if he accepts the Iron's offer of a new deal.
The 37-year-old has been offered a new one-year coaching contract, with a pay-as-you-play option in addition.
However, the co-assistant manager doesn't want to stop playing just yet and may opt for the opportunity to play first-team football elsewhere should he be offered it.
"I have not said anything at the moment," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
"It's a massive decision because it means virtually giving up playing.
"Twenty-one years I have been a player and it is going to take a lot of thought.
"Nigel (Adkins) and the club are happy with that. They understand the situation."
