United hope to complete their first signing of the summer late next week.

Manager Nigel Adkins has confirmed that the club are very close to bringing in an unnamed League Two right-winger.

"He's an experienced player, and is 27 years of age," said Adkins, speaking on BBC Radio Humberside.

"He's played in the Conference as well as League Two and is an exciting player.

"He's also quick, direct and has good height. He's a very creative player, who will excite supporters."
