The Iron's reserve side won 2-0 against their Barnsley counterparts on Wednesday night to seal their second win of the season.

Peter Winn struck in spectacular fashion during the first half for his third goal of the campaign.

On 14 minutes he turned to find space before firing in a drive beyond the reach of Tykes 'stopper Nick Colgan from 25 yards.

Winn limped off and was replaced by Joel Barnett midway through the opening period but it didn't take long for Scunthorpe to double their advantage when fellow striker Daniel McBreen rifled home from six yards after Barnett's cross.
