Midfielder Ian Morris was on target as the Iron's reserves were sunk 5-1 at home to York City.

The visiting side raced into an two-goal half-time lead but the midfielder restored some hope when he netted just after the interval.

Jonathan Forte went on a good run and sent in a low cross for Morris who tapped in United's goal.

However, York struck three more times to sink Scunthorpe.

The result follows up last week's 4-1 loss at Sheffield Wednesday.
