Scunthorpe reserves were held to a 3-3 draw against their Sheffield United counterparts at Glanford Park on Wednesday night.

The Iron took the lead early in the first half when Cleveland Taylor latched on to a Tomi Ameobi flick-on and thundered a half volley past Ian Bennett.

Taylor made it 2-0 just after the interval from the penalty spot after trialist Andy Wright had been brought down.

Sheffield United pulled one back but the Iron restored their two goal lead when Alex Morfaw released Martin Brittain on the right and he fired home.

The visitors reduced the deficit and with injury time approaching the Blades salvaged a point.
