ONE IN, ONE OUT FOR UNITED
United will be without the services of suspended defender Cliff Byrne for the match with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
They do welcome back Kelly Youga though for the game following the loanee's four-match ban for two successive red cards.
Byrne was sent off for two bookable offences late on in the win at Preston on Wednesday but will miss this weekend's game, and the clash with Barnsley on New Year's Day - ironically returning for the FA Cup clash against the Lilywhites a week on Saturday.
He misses two matches because it was his second dismissal of the campaign.
Youga could come in at right-back, although there is also the option of moving midfielder Jack Cork back there.
Elsewhere, Scunthorpe should be unchanged for the match as they seek to pull off a shock result.
There were some tired legs at Deepdale on Boxing Day, and Cleveland Taylor, Matt Sparrow, Tomi Ameobi and Jonathan Forte will be pushing for a starting place but there aren't expected to be too many alterations.
Nigel Adkins' side are very much the underdogs ahead of the clash with the league leaders, but arrive full of confidence after the midweek win.
They will be backed by a decent away following and will take heart from the match against the Baggies at Glanford Park earlier this season.
The visitors ran out 3-2 winners in a pulsating game, but United gave as good as they got and, on a better day, the result could have gone the other way.
Can the Iron see out a fantastic 2007 in style?
