Jack Hobbs has been named as man of the match by readers of www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk after Saturday's defeat at Hull City.

The Iron lost 2-0 after first-half strikes from Henrik Pedersen and Michael Turner.

They never looked like getting back into the game, but a few players stood out according to the vote.

Ben May and Izzy Iriekpen pushed him for the accolade, but Hobbs - who overcame an ankle injury picked up in training late last week - edged the vote after another solid display at right-back.

Jack Cork is way ahead at the top of the leaderboard with nine wins, and Andy Butler is second after winning the award on four occasions.

Jim Goodwin, Martin Paterson and Kelly Youga are tied in third position, after taking it on three occasions each, while Hobbs, Ian Morris, Joe Murphy and Cliff Byrne have been top twice.

Iriekpen, Grant McCann, Jonathan Forte and Geoff Horsfield have secured the award once.
