SIGNED STEVE MACLEAN SHIRT UP FOR GRABS
United's official auction website - www.iron-auctions.co.uk - is offering Scunthorpe and Glasgow Rangers fans the chance to own some memoribilia of a player who has represented both clubs.
In 2003/04, Glasgow Rangers youngster Steve MacLean opted to join the Iron on a season-long loan to gain some first team experience. It was a move that proved extremely beneficial for both Steve and Scunthorpe.
In 37 league starts for the Iron, Steve notched up a very impressive 23 goals. This tally is even more impressive when you consider it came in a team who were fighting to retain their league status. The Iron would have loved to have kept Steve longer but couldn't lure him from the Scottish giants.

Steve has since gone on to represent Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City and Plymouth. While with Sheffield Wednesday he scored 32 times in 60 league starts. After failing to agree a new contract with the Owls, Steve joined Cardiff City. The move to the Welsh capital was however only brief, Steve made 6 starts scoring once before he was bought by Plymouth Argyle in a deal worth half a million pounds. Since joining the Pilgrims Steve has scored twice in 11 starts.
Steve was back at Glanford Park on Tuesday, March 11, and he kindly signed a popular 'Loan Ranger' T-Shirt. On the night, Steve was unable to produce the goals that came so easily the last time he was at Glanford Park, as the Iron ran out 1-0 winners.
Bid now for a SIGNED Steve MacLean Loan Ranger T-Shirt. Steve will be remembered for many years to come by United fans, not only because of his heroic season of 03/04 but because he has his very own 'Steve MacLean Suite' at Glanford Park.
