IRIEKPEN IS YOUR STAR MAN
Captain Izzy Iriekpen was chosen as man of the match by readers of www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk after Saturday's terrific 1-0 win at Watford.
The 25-year-old centre-back was in top form alongside Andy Butler at the heart of the back four as United kept a clean sheet against the promotion-chasing Hornets.
A Paul Hayes header midway through the second half sealed a thoroughly-deserved victory for Scunthorpe - their first on the road since December.
They created the most chances and were on top, as their young stars excelled against the Hornets.
This result means United have secured 23rd place, and it bodes well for next year's League One campaign.
Jack Cork is way ahead at the top of the leaderboard with nine wins, and Andy Butler is second after winning the award on seven occasions.
Joe Murphy is in third position after taking it four times, while Iriekpen, Jim Goodwin, Martin Paterson and Kelly Youga are tied in fourth, after winning on three occasions each.
Jack Hobbs, Ian Morris and Cliff Byrne have been top twice, while Paul Hayes, Ben May, Grant McCann, Jonathan Forte and Geoff Horsfield have secured the accolade once.
