Saturday, March 1st saw SUOSC hold a Race Night at Bottesford Club. We would like to thank everyone who attended. It was a great night with a total of £570 been raised for Supporters Club funds. In addition we donated £150 to Bottesford Club and lucky punters made £250 on the night. Thanks to everyone one who donated raffle prizes for the evening. Friday, April 5th will see us hold another Race Night at the Priory Hotel, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, with the first race being at 8pm. Everyone is welcome.
END OF SEASON PRESENTATION EVENING
SUOSC are holding their annual Presentation Evening at Brumby Hall on Sunday, May 4th. Tickets priced at £7 are on sale now from committee members. Entertainment will be provided by comedy duo Freshly Squeezed - and a pie and pea supper will also be provided.
60's NIGHT
SUOSC will be holding a 60's night on May 30th at Brumby Hall with Raving Rupert and a Tina Turner tribute. Tickets, priced at £10, are on sale now from committee members.
FORTHCOMING TRAVEL
On Saturday March 15, we travel to Queens Park Rangers, so make sure you get your names down for a trip to London. This trip is £19 for SUOSC members and £20 nonmembers.
The departure times are: 07:45 Priory, 08:00 Railway, 08:15 Berkeley.
We would like to apologise to all supporters who travelled with us to Hull City last Saturday for the actions of some Hull City hooligans who attacked both of our coaches with glasses on the way in to the KC Stadium. One Coach had a window damaged, but luckily no-one was injured, although some younger supporters were shocked by what happened. We hope this will not put any fans off travelling with us in the future.
For any trip, please contact Brian on 07767256465 or email travel@suosc.co.uk.
CROSSBAR CHALLENGE
The prize money for today's Crossbar Challenge will be £25. Congratulations to Joseph Hardy who hit the crossbar at the Coventry City game and went home happily with a cheque for £225 in his hand. If you fancy your chance of hitting the crossbar at half-time, then call in the Iron Bar see Colin or Harold and put your name into the hat. Many thanks go to Adrian Garner of Garners Pharmacy, Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe for sponsoring this competition for the third season.
