ON THIS WEEK - MARCH 10-16
Classic Match
On Saturday, March 12, 2005, United ran out at 4-1 winners against Cheltenham Town at Glanford Park in a rousing success on the way to promotion from League Two.
It seems hard to believe that this match was three years ago, and there were a couple of very special goals towards the end.
Midfield man Matt Sparrow broke the deadlock with a tap-in before Jamie Victory's shot levelled the scores.
But a second tap-in from Sparrow put United in the ascendency before the Iron added two superb late strikes.
Richard Kell netted with a driven angled shot from 20 yards out before defender Cliff Byrne (pictured celebrating to the right), of all people, drove home a spectacular volley from range.
